New year, new start and everything
*blows virtual dust off my online journal*
It is scary how crazy fast 2012 has came and gone. 2012 is the year I graduated from NP and started uni, the year I got to travel somewhere with just a couple of friends, not once, not twice, but thrice, transitioning to life without the constant company of my boy, went back to Mr Punch to waitress, started my first tuition job, the year that really brought me closer to some of my friends. Friends that are for keeps. That said, I have one particular friend in mind whom I feel I've neglected last year which I promise to make up for in the coming 12 months.
My new year resolutions for 2013:
1) To inculcate proper saving habits
2) To be more filial towards my mom and grandma
3) To be a better friend
No. 3 I feel is something that I've somewhat attain in 2012 but could have done better. It was in my 2011 resolutions (I didn't make any for 2012) to put others before self and to stay in contact with old friends which I think I really managed to do in the past year. In the process of becoming a less selfish person and a better friend, I find myself becoming happier. Also, nothing warms my heart like when friends tell me that I've been a good friend to them.
I also want to take this time to say that I've been getting so much love from the poly peeps of late deep down I feel so grateful and lucky to have met them. Say for my upcoming 21st, Clint offered to drive me around, JJ to help collect my cake, ST to lend me money should I be short of cash, Joyce to help cook the pasta sauce which I've been fretting over b/c I can't cook for nuts and Jerlyn, for making so much effort always to get the perfect present for the birthday girl/boy in the group. Not forgetting JH, Brandon & Suri for all the time and effort they put in to make this friendship work. How not to love them, you tell me!!!!
In the 2nd half of 2012 we met so much more frequently which really bonded us in so many ways, they have become such a great part of my life I never want to lose anyone of them ever. This also goes out to all the other people, both family and friends, who make my life complete.
I feel so thankful to have my 3 favourite girls (my mom, my sis and my little furball) around, knowing that they've got my back always even when nobody else does. To still be able to sit around, talking and laughing with the people I've known for practically half my life, be it from primary or secondary school. To have gotten so much closer to those I've got to know in my poly days. And to have Wilson there for me through all these and more, watching me grow from an attention seeking spoiled brat to who I am today. I am truly blessed.
Overall, I'll say that 2012 has treated me well. Here's to another great year ahead! Happy 2013 to all!! ♡

Just like stars
Waiting for my nails to dry while typing this. Thought I'll come here to write about my weekend, y'know to do something that doesn't ruin the mickey designs I've so painstakingly painted.
The past weekend is one of the best I've had in quite a while. Friday saw me walking around town with Joyce, seeming to be shopping, but more engrossed in our chitchats than anything. So we ended up walking back and forth a couple of times because we were so distracted. I had an awful good time just talking to her simply cause we have so much catching up to do seeing that we haven't seen each other properly for the longest time!
On Sat, I did a photoshoot with the girls at White Cottage! Very exciting because it's my first time stepping into a studio and I was really looking forward to seeing how the pictures might turn out! It was pretty awkward though since we aren't exactly the gurus when it comes to posing. But fun, nonetheless!

Rest of the pictures you can find on FB.
That night, I managed to meet up with Jessica, Justin & KR at Frenzie for a couple of drinks and some really awesome fries. Okay, more like really awesome cheese dip and that's coming from someone who doesn't even like cheese. Great way to end my already rad Saturday!

Same old, same old
So, not too much have changed since I've last been here. I'm still lagging behind in school, dreading work, spending too much time not doing anything productive and then regretting for not having spent my time more wisely. Most of my time at home, I'm swaddled under my blanket. Especially now that the monsoon season is here... Let's just say its a good time for blanket burrito.
Of late, I feel like I haven't been catching up with friends enough. I am constantly broke even though I feel like I've been working very hard to keep my income coming. So that's a bummer. There are really not a lot of things to do out there when you're strapped for cash. Which, is why my life has been pretty mundane for the past couple of weeks, revolving mainly around school, work and my weekends with the boy.
This week though, I've got some activities lined up which I'm quite pumped up about! Can't wait to share with you guys my hopefully exciting weekend! Stay tuned! (´ ▽`).。o♡
